Summer time in the United States means two things: one, vacations and two, tennis season. And this year’s tennis season has been outstanding. Rafael Nadal won the French Open for a 4th straight year by shutting out Roger Federer. Then Nadal went on to win the Wimbledon. He had never won this before and he did it by beating Federer.

The U.S. Open tennis tournament should also be very exciting. Federer will try to show that he is still number one and Nadal will try to prove him wrong as he did in the last two.

For the women’s singles, I predict that Venus and Serena Williams will play each other and that Serena will ultimately be the winner. Their father will sit on the court, exactly at the net. He must feel torn in so many ways when his daughters play each other but as long as one of them wins, he wins.
